To celebrate Diwali, the Hindu and Sikh festival of light, ASDA is offering a £50 voucher to 4 lucky winners. Normally our comps are just for students but we know a fair few student parents and grandparents visit the site, even people who have nothing to do with students whatsoever, except for possibly having been one, so we thought it was time to give you a chance to win something too.

ASDA is launching its biggest ever Diwali promotion this year with great offers on a number of authentic Asian lines, including Veetee basmati rice, Imperial snacks, Natco nuts, Patak's pickles and pastes, Pillsbury Atta flour and other fresh and frozen lines. In the run up to the festival there will also be free samples of Asian party food in store plus activities such as lantern making (for those of you who harbour a frustrated desire to be a lantern-maker)

To be in with a chance of winning one of the four £50 ASDA gift vouchers, just answer the following question:

Name three of the authentic branded Asian lines ASDA has on offer for this year’s Diwali.

Not difficult, eh? I mean we’ve just given you the answer. So just ping us an email with ASDA Diwali in the subject line to comps@beyondbakedbeans.com, giving your name, address and university, if you’re currently studying. And the answer, obviously, don’t forget that! Entries by November 2nd.

For more information about Diwali visit the BBC’s website

Come back tomorrow for an authentic chicken curry recipe from ASDA pharmacist (and part-time DJ) Khalid Ahmed. Well, actually, from his mum . . .
